I married the most amazing man nearly 9 years ago, and we have two wonderful children. I have been a SAHM since the birth of our daughter in January 2008, and thank God daily for the blessing of being able to be home with our children.
Before becoming a full-time mom, I was a dabbler. I worked for a time as an office assistant, HR manager, and then as an interior decorator. I enjoyed these jobs, but still felt like something was missing. Some people (like my husband) knew from a very young age what they wanted to be when they grew up. I had four different majors in college, so like I said, I dabbled. The one thing that I always knew I wanted to be was a mother. I am always amazed by God's ways. After I landed my dream job of being a SAHM, he placed another plan on my heart...to be a caretaker outside of the home.
God willing, I will be starting a full-time nursing program in the next 12 months. I am both excited and nervous to start a career outside of the home. Excited to be able to help others and contribute financially to my family, and nervous about leaving my babies. All in all, I am blessed beyond belief and grateful to have these days of grace.
